I'm recommending it to anyone who shows an interest.....

I'm using the X2 for riding in Rotorua redwoods and it has been amazing...i'm recommending it to everyone who shows an interest.  Power is excellent, it's great that you can reduce the output on uphills or when stopped, and the fact that you can alter the angle depending on terrain so easily (i have it on my helmet), one of my mates has a 1500 lumen 4 led lamp but he can never get the position perfectly right on his helmet.  when i last did nightriding, about 3 years ago, i was doing mainly grade 2 and some grade 3 tracks: with the X2 i'm very comfortable on grade 4 tracks and may push it further.

after sales service top notch.....

"Very impressed with this product. Gloworm Lites have a very quick response time to all querys. As for the light itself, it is brilliant. Really lights up the road not only in front of you but also has great periphery shine. I can descend any hill confidently with this light, most of the time faster in the dark because you can see car lights a lot quicker. I really rate these lights. They have made winter training a lot easier.

The battery is nice and small and fits easily into my back pockets, I have only used the helmet mount option for riding thus far and its very secure. I have got used to taking it off for the weekend rides and re-applying it for the weekday. Overall great product, everyone should invest! with 12 month warranty its a no brainer. don't buy similar lights like this one off trademe or otherwise trading sites as they dont offer guarantee's like this one and Gloworm Lites after sale service is top notch."

plenty of peripheral vision......

"I have been in the lighting industry for many years so night riding and developing lights has always been close to my heart. When we first got into night riding our team couldn’t find any lights which we thought gave anything like good visibility so developed our own around Modus Lighting components and they have been the best we have seen up until now. Remember it’s not just about lumen output, that is important but the quality of the light as it relates to visibility is the key.

The lights Bruce has are the best we have seen with a crisp white light - no blue tinge - good colour rendering and give plenty of light so that we have now dropped our lights and gone over to Bruce’s with the normal beam on the helmet and the diffused one on the bars. That diffusion lens on the bar mount is just right and gives plenty of peripheral vision. I tried adjusting the beam slightly and in different parts of the track and that was very simple. Amazing how well a simple mounting idea works. Love simple solutions. Tried them over at Woodhill on Wednesday and they where a delight"

great light output......

Bought a set of your first lights after reading great things on VORB. Great light output, battery life and simple, versatile mounting options. Oh...and FANTASTIC value! What can I say....? Great product at great price.  Looking forward to more!

best lighting package available......

Did a lot of research on the web and considered a range options and glad that I went with Gloworm Lites. The best value for performance lighting package available. Loads of light, wide even beam and great battery life.

the Gloworm Lite rocks......

So I finally got around to buying a light for nighttime singletrack...After years of examining friends' 2kg+ halogen + motorbike battery bohemoths, and wondering how long it would be before the weight came down to the point I might actually use such a thing, the HID LED appeared, and changed the whole deal. But still, people had trouble with warranties, dodgy suppliers, fires in their camelbacks, 'surprise' dropouts leading to surprise drop-offs, so I waited still.

Then I started reading reviews for a local company, that would back it's product, that had a kiwi on the other end of a phone call, and understood what mountain biking in the dark could do to a poorly thought-out design...Winter came...I went for it, initial impressions were good, second impressions were lightweight, and third impressions involved blasting down from Hawkins Hill, a 30 minute descent to the bottom of Transient.
Wow!

Thanks guys, for giving me an entry to another whole facet of singletrack fun.  The Gloworm Lite rocks.

 excels in size and weight......

Before I purchased your LED light I had been using a HID light that was very bright but a bit temperamental. The LED is not quite as bright as the HID but close to it, where it excels is in the size and weight. It is great how you can make a light last for so long from such a small battery. The light on the helmet is a good size and also very light with a easy to use mount. My biking around the hills this year has been a bit limited with the earthquakes but I have never regretted changing from the HID unit. I would recomend to any one buying one of your lights and one day might need to look at your new unit, 1200 lumens sounds good.

as much light as my more expensive import......

Have a Gloworm light for mountain biking. Love it! It’s easy to set up either on the handlebar or helmet. It’s small and kicks out as much light as my more expensive ‘import’

I've given my light a solid thrashing......

Ya'll have put me in a tricky situation. Your new X2 light looks fantastic and I'm very tempted to buy one, but having bought a Gloworm and extra battery earlier this year I can't really justify a new light just yet. I've given my light a solid thrashing having had one of the driest winters in Chrsitchurch for ages and loved the Gloworm both on the tarmac and the trails, so much better than my old ghetto halogen. Can't imagine where LED technology will be one it finally comes time to replace my current light.

so light I forget it's on my head......

I bought a GLOWORM LITE to use on a dairy farm when getting the cows in in the morning.  It has worked FANTASTICALLY giving me good visibility on low while driving on the race, and brilliant visibility to 50m and detectable visibility to 100m when on high.  It is so comfortable that occasionally I forget it is on my head until half way through milking.  I can see it will be a god send to use over the spring time with calving cows all hours of the night.

Although I haven't used it for opossum shooting boy do the opossum eyes stand out well in the trees.  I think shooters will really love these lites!
